The Products module allows you to manage your company’s physical item catalog: references, prices, suppliers, inventory, and item families.<\/p>\n

1. Create a product<\/h2>\n

  1. Go to Main menu > Catalog > Products<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Click on “Add a product”<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Enter the product information:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. Inventory information<\/h2>\n

      The “Inventory information”<\/strong> section allows you to track quantities:<\/p>\n

      3. Supplier information<\/h2>\n

      Each product can be associated with a default supplier:<\/p>\n

      4. Standard products and specific products<\/h2>\n

      Kafinea offers a standard products<\/strong> mechanism for companies that purchase the same type of item from multiple suppliers.<\/p>\n

      Standard product:<\/strong>
      \nA generic item used in customer quotes and orders. This is what your customer sees. <\/p>\n

      Specific product:<\/strong>
      \nA sourced variant of a standard product, corresponding to the actual item purchased from a given supplier.<\/p>\n

      \n

      Example:<\/strong> The standard product “HDMI Cable 2m” can have two specific products: “HDMI Cable 2m \u2013 Alpha Brand” and “HDMI Cable 2m \u2013 Beta Brand,” each with its own supplier offers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
