Customizing a module<\/h2>\n<p>To customize the layout of a module:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <em><strong>Settings &gt; Layout Editor<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Select the module to customize<\/li>\n<li>The editor displays the current structure of the form with its blocks and fields<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Available actions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Move a field<\/strong>: drag and drop a field from one block to another or change its order<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hide a field<\/strong>: make a field invisible in the form (existing data is preserved)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Make a field mandatory<\/strong>: define which fields must be filled in upon saving<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add a block<\/strong>: create a new group of fields to organize information<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create a custom field<\/strong>: add a new field to the module (text, number, drop-down list, date, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2>2. Best practices<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Do not overload forms<\/strong>: only add fields that are actually used<\/li>\n<li><strong>Organize by logical blocks<\/strong>: group fields by theme (general information, address, accounting\u2026)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Use mandatory fields sparingly<\/strong>: too many mandatory fields slow down data entry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"bq-important\">\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> Deleting a custom field is permanent and results in the loss of associated data. It is better to hide a field rather than delete it if you are not certain you no longer need it. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr>\n<h2>4. Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Do the changes apply to all users?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, the layout is common to all users of the module. It is not possible to have a different layout per role. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I modify Kafinea&#8217;s standard fields?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can move, hide, or make standard fields mandatory. However, you cannot delete them or change their type. <\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I add a custom drop-down list?<\/strong><br \/>\nCreate a field of type <em><strong>Drop-down list<\/strong><\/em>, then define the possible values.
