Introduction<\/h2>\n

Stock movements<\/strong> track every inbound and outbound movement of goods in Kafinea. They are generated automatically when logistics documents are validated (goods receipts, delivery notes, transfer requests). The module is accessible via Stock management > Stock movements<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\n

\n

Important:<\/strong> Stock movements are read-only records. They cannot be created, edited, or deleted manually. They faithfully reflect the logistics operations carried out in Kafinea. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

1. Understanding a stock movement<\/h2>\n

Each stock movement records the following information:<\/p>\n

Product<\/strong><\/td>\nThe item concerned by the movement<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Quantity<\/strong><\/td>\nThe number of units moved (positive = inbound, negative = outbound)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Location<\/strong><\/td>\nThe storage location concerned<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Date<\/strong><\/td>\nThe movement date<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Document<\/strong><\/td>\nThe document that originated the movement (goods receipt, delivery note, etc.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Unit price \/ Total price<\/strong><\/td>\nThe unit and total value of the movement<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Product lot<\/strong><\/td>\nThe manufacturing lot, if applicable<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

2. How movements are generated<\/h2>\n

Stock movements are created automatically in pairs (double-entry) when the following documents are validated:<\/p>\n

Goods receipt<\/strong><\/td>\nTransfer from the “Suppliers” location to the internal location of the receiving site<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Delivery note<\/strong><\/td>\nTransfer from the internal location to the “Customers” location<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Transfer request<\/strong><\/td>\nTransfer from one internal location to another location<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

This double-entry system ensures that each movement has an origin and a destination, maintaining a permanent stock balance.<\/p>\n

Good to know<\/strong>: Each movement has a Pair<\/strong><\/em> field that links it to its mirror movement. This makes it easy to find both sides of the same transfer. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

3. Movement valuation<\/h2>\n

Each movement records the unit price and total price of the items moved. This information feeds into the calculation of stock valuation<\/a> and is expressed in the currency of the source document as well as the company\u2019s default currency. <\/p>\n

4. Viewing movements<\/h2>\n

You can view stock movements in several ways:<\/p>\n
