Template management is accessible via <em><strong>Tools &gt; Document templates<\/strong><\/em>.  <\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>1. Create a document template<\/h2>\n<p>A document template consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong>: the name of the template<\/li>\n<li><strong>Module<\/strong>: the module for which the template can be used (Invoices, Quotes, Orders&#8230;)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Content<\/strong>: the body of the document with the layout and shortcodes to insert dynamic data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shortcodes (variables) allow you to automatically insert data from the record into the document: customer name, amount, date, line items, etc. For the full list of available shortcodes, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kafinea.com\/fr\/documentation\/modeles\/les-shortcodes\/\">Shortcodes<\/a> page. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>2. Generate a document<\/h2>\n<p>From the record record (invoice, quote&#8230;), use the <em><strong>Export PDF<\/strong><\/em> button to generate the document from the configured template. The generated PDF can then be: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Downloaded<\/li>\n<li>Sent by email directly from Kafinea<\/li>\n<li>Sent for electronic signature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2>3. Customization<\/h2>\n<p>Templates can be customized to reflect your company&#8217;s visual identity:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company logo and header<\/li>\n<li>Footer with legal notices<\/li>\n<li>Layout of line item tables<\/li>\n<li>General terms and conditions of sale<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>Good to know<\/strong>: You can create several templates for the same module. For example, a standard quote template and a detailed quote template. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr>\n<h2>4. Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<p><strong>How do I add my company logo?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe logo is automatically retrieved from the active company record. Make sure a logo is correctly configured in <em><strong>Settings &gt; Companies<\/strong><\/em>. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I have different templates per company?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, templates can be configured per company in multi-company mode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I modify the layout of an existing template?<\/strong><br \/>\nEdit the template from <em><strong>Tools &gt; Document templates<\/strong><\/em>.
