Kafinea General Interface
Kafinea allows you to create typed links between different ERP elements (Tickets, Projects, Project Tasks, etc.). These links help structure information and visualize dependencies directly from the summary view of a record.
Available Link Types #
There are four types of relationships to qualify the link between two elements:
- Related to: A simple and symmetrical relationship indicating that two elements are connected without any particular dependency.
- Blocks / Is blocked by: A dependency relationship indicating that one element must be completed or resolved before another.
- Duplicates / Is duplicated by: Used to mark identical or redundant elements.
- Parent of / Child of: Allows you to create a hierarchy between elements (for example, a main ticket broken down into sub-tickets).
Using the Widget #
On compatible modules, a “Links Between Elements” block is available in the summary view.
Add a Link #
- Click the Add button in the “Links Between Elements” block.
- Select the desired Link Type.
- Search for and select the Target Element using the search bar (multi-module search).
- Click Save.
The link appears immediately in the widget, grouped by type. The target element will also see the link appear automatically in its own widget (with the reverse orientation if necessary, for example “Is blocked by” if the initial link was “Blocks”).
Delete a Link #
To delete a link, click the delete icon (red cross) next to the relevant link in the widget. A confirmation will be requested.

- Tickets
- Projects
- Project Tasks
