Kafinea offers two quick and easy bank reconciliation methods:
- classic bank reconciliation between bank transactions and payments
- invoice reconciliation by suggestion between a bank transaction and an accounting document (sale or purchase)
Bank reconciliation #
Accessible via this path : Finance/Accounting/Bankingtab Bank reconciliation, this page displays two tables:
The table on the left shows the active, unreconciled lines of bank transactions, while the table on the right shows all unreconciled entries recorded in the selected bank account.
These entries come from payments or manual entries.
By selecting rows in both tables, you can reconcile entries if the amounts are in balance.
Intelligent invoice matching #
This feature is unique to Kafinéa. To save time for the user, it combines two steps:
- Payment creation
- Reconciliation of the payment created with the bank transaction line.

The table on the left shows the active, unreconciled lines of the bank transactions. When Kafinea finds one or more documentsinvoice purchaseinvoice ) that could match the selected bank transaction, they are suggested in the right-hand table.
If one of the documents matches, select it to then create the corresponding payment and reconciliation in a single click using the 'Create payment and reconciliation' button.
Tip : To refine the documents proposed in the list of suggestions, enter key words for reconciliation in the record for each Third Party (Suppliers or Customers). This feature is available in the section: Accounting, Keywords ( invoice reconciliation)
