Introduction #
In the context of maintenance, the Equipment module allows you to manage the inventory of assets requiring maintenance: machines, vehicles, technical installations, etc. Each piece of equipment has its own characteristics, key dates, and maintenance history. It can be accessed via Maintenance > Equipment.
Note: This module is the same as the one described in "Customer Equipment," but is used here in the context of internal or preventive maintenance.
1. Equipment Information #
Each record contains:
General information:
- Name: Equipment description (required)
- Status: in service, out of service, under maintenance…
- Serial number: the unique identifier
References:
- Supplier Part Number and Manufacturer Part Number
Dates:
- Date of purchase: the date of acquisition
- End of warranty: the warranty expiration date
- End of life: the scheduled decommissioning date
Other:
- Purchase Price and Image
2. Maintenance tracking #
From the record piece of equipment, the Maintenance displays the complete history of maintenance operations performed. This allows you to:
- Track the frequency of interventions
- Identify equipment that needs to be replaced
- Schedule preventive maintenance

How do I schedule preventive maintenance?
Create a task with a future date and a "scheduled" status. You can set up a workflow to send a reminder as the date approaches.
How can I tell which equipment is nearing the end of its warranty period?
Filter the list of equipment using the field Warranty Expiration to identify those whose warranty is about to expire.
